Frequently Asked Questions

WHY PURCHASE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR YOUR HEARING AID?

Nearly all hearing aids sold come with a manufacturer’s warranty policy. However, once the original warranty coverage expires, repairing or replacing a device is your responsibility. With Midwest Complete, you can add additional coverage for 12 more months. Or if you have already filed a claim with the manufacturer, your coverage has ended. If this is the case, Midwest Complete is the perfect choice for protecting your aid against any potential loss or damage.

WHAT IS MIDWEST COMPLETE INSURANCE COVERAGE?

Midwest Complete is single-price-policy insurance coverage, meaning regardless of the age, brand, type, or model of hearing aid, the device is protected against loss, damage, or repair for just one low premium price.

WHAT DOES MIDWEST COMPLETE INSURANCE COVER?

With Midwest Complete insurance, you get total coverage for your aid. Including protection against a loss, damage that cannot be repaired (a replacement aid is needed) and any normal wear and tear. For example, if the sound from the covered hearing aid becomes weak, intermittent, or completely dead, a claim with Midwest Complete will cover the costs of those repairs.

HOW LONG DOES MIDWEST COMPLETE COVERAGE LAST?

Midwest Complete provides 12 months of coverage for $299 a year per aid.

CAN I PAY MONTHLY?

Yes, Midwest Hearing Agency offers a monthly payment option for only $27 a month per hearing aid. You can pay for protection over the twelve months of your policy. Payments must be made by credit card. Paying $27 a month includes a minimal service fee. If paying monthly, the premium must be paid in full before a replacement claim can be processed.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I LOSE MY HEARING AID?

If the lost hearing aid is covered by Midwest Complete, simply contact your hearing care provider to submit a claim within 90 days of your loss or damage. Midwest Hearing Agency will respond to your hearing care provider within one working day. You should have your replacement aid in less than seven days of the claim submission.

IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR TO MY HEARING AID COVERED?

Yes, if you have purchased Midwest Complete coverage, you’re protected against loss, damage, and repairs. If you’re in AR, FL, VA, or WA, Midwest Complete is currently not available; however, Loss, damage, and repair coverage is still available in your area. To get a quote for your hearing aid(s) you will need to know the Brand, Model, Style, and Serial Number of your aid(s) to get a quote.

CAN I GET COVERAGE FOR A HEARING AID THAT’S OUT OF WARRANTY?

If the manufacturer’s warranty for your hearing aids has expired, even if your instruments have been out of warranty for years, you can protect them against loss, damage, and repairs with Midwest Complete insurance coverage.

HOW DO I CHECK TO SEE IF I STILL HAVE COVERAGE?

You will be sent a renewal notice before your policy’s expiration date. The notice encourages you to visit your hearing care professional for regular maintenance. Your hearing care provider will also be sent a registration card to keep on hand in your patient file.
